Fans, one of the biggest Japanese icons will be hitting New York City this Friday. We are talking about Hideo Kojima, world-renowned video game creator/director/producer of the hit video game series, “Metal Gear”. Kojima will be at the UNIQLO Store in Soho this Friday from 12pm to 2pm to promote a new t-shirt line, featuring designs based on his latest Metal Gear game, METAL GEAR SOLID: PEACE WALKER, for the Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP).
Kojima will also greet fans and do autograph signings! There will also be giveaways, including a PSP Entertainment Bundle, artbooks, cover sheets, and collector’s edition software.
This is Kojima’s 2nd collaboration with UNIQLO as they worked together to create a line of t-shirts for METAL GEAR SOLID 4: GUNS OF THE PATRIOTS back in 2008.
Once again, the world of gaming meets the world of fashion. Fans, you do not want to miss this event! SBR will be there to cover the event and interview a variety of fans (sadly, not Kojima, we tried though.), maybe even you, for our upcoming podcast show set to debut soon!
By the way, MGS: Peace Walker is already out in the U.S. & Japan and has garnered positive reviews. One review totes it as the taking the best out of several MGS games and putting it into one small & impactful package. It’s available in game stores everywhere at $39.99 MSRP.
Sneak out of school/work, Snake-style, to see Kojima this Friday!
