Hey guys, I went to check out Sakura Matsuri 2010 on Saturday, May 1. It was a PRETTY WARM & HUMID day. The blossoms were all gone, but it was still a lively event with lots of things going on. There was the Tokyo Tea Cafe, Mario Bueno, Uncle Yo, tea ceremonies, and some good performances. Kagero was pretty awesome to see on stage. Here’s some pictures that I took.

I also got a chance to talk to Katie Blumm, the Communications Manager for the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, about the event. I asked her about the mix of Japanese traditional and pop culture. You can listen to it below.
We’re looking forward to the next one and hopefully, the blossoms will be there!
