“J-Cation – Taste Japan” Event At Japan Society on April 10!

Hey guys, we want to give a heads up about a upcoming event in April entitled j-Cation, Taste Japan. It will take at Japan Society on Saturday, April 10. j-Cation is an all-day event focusing on the lovable aspects of Japanese cuisine from 1PM-1AM. There will be exhibitions, classes, and screenings focused on food.  Special guests will be there too, including Japan’s own competitive eating champion, Takeru Kobayashi. There’s even a bar for drinks, a concert, and an afterparty with DJ Aki spinning the beats all night long.

Speaking of the concert, it  will be entitled SONIC SENSATION. The Brooklyn-based & Japanese-influenced dream pop/rock band, Asobi Seksu, will be performing along with opening act, Me & Mars. Asobi Seksu is one of the best bands out there. Seriously, their music is that good. It is very psychedelic and their songs keep you enchanted in a awesome way. They have received praise from media outlets such as The New York Times, Nylon, & Under the Radar. Asobi Seksu is a local favorite and we hope you come by  to check them out. Me & Mars is also great too. The frontwoman for the all-girl NYC J-Rock band Sakura Madams, Yukino, plays bass for Me & Mars. SONIC SENSATION will be from 9:30PM-11:30PM.
